Afro-textured beard hair grows in tight coils. Your skin’s natural oils can’t travel down a coil the way they slide down straight hair, so the skin under your beard dries out first.
Dry skin itches and flakes. Dry hair turns brittle and snaps off before it’s long enough to cover the gaps. Most beard products were made for straight hair, and a lot of drugstore washes use sulfates that strip the little moisture you have. So the patches stay, and you start blaming your genes.

Olive oil-based and plant-based. It lifts dirt and bacteria without stripping your natural oils. It barely lathers, and that’s on purpose: there are no sulfates in it.

Work a little into the skin first, then through the beard. Shea butter, cocoa butter, grapeseed oil and vitamin E soften the hair and calm the itch. Open the tin before your hands get slick.
Seal it in
